LORA STIMSON
Interpreting Norfolk in technicolour
About the artist
Lora is primarily a landscape artist. Her work translates the local agricultural landscape using bold colour, abstraction and experiment. She often works in mixed medium, using acrylic, water-based oil, chalk, ink and pencil to build a fleeting reflection of a scene.
Lora is interested in reducing waste; experimenting with collage and repurposing materials where possible.
Lora graduated from Norwich School of Art & Design in 2004 and has worked in literature, sung in bands and published fiction. More recently, she has delivered art workshops in adult residential homes for the elderly and people with learning disabilities, and in mental health care facilities.
She has two sons, and is a cat person but also loves dogs.
