Jan works across a range of mediums that includes the experimental development of the historic art of rush weaving, also working in oils and mixed media 2 and 3D. Her themes explore the world around her and include horses and Norfolk landscapes.

Her development of rush techniques is culminating in the creation of a Pantomime Horse that when finished will be involved in performance art impromptu performances recorded in a ‘Year in the life of a Pantomime horse calendar’ for charity.

Her work is rooted in her early work as a Textiles Designer Maker and her love of drawing and painting. Her breadth of experience was deepened whilst teaching up to A level art in a high school for many years.
