Deborah is a painter and printmaker whose work reflects her love of animals, wildlife and the countryside.

For as long as she can remember, Deborah has enjoyed drawing and painting but her passion for nature and wildlife led her into a career in environmental education. Art continued to be a hobby, with occasional commissions and local exhibition entries. For over 25 years, alongside her career, she produced pet portraits, wildlife images and countryside and coastal scenes, mostly in pastel and acrylic.

A few years ago, looking to create her own Christmas cards, Deborah became interested in printmaking and has been experimenting with the linocut technique ever since. Most of her prints are partly hand painted, adding pops of colour or metallic effects.

Now, with art as her main focus, Deborah always has several linocuts and paintings in progress. Linocuts are often partly hand painted, adding pops of colour or metallic effects. Ideas and inspiration come from the wildlife in her garden as well as countryside rambles, coastal walks and holidays. She has started to sketch more frequently and has begun recording her sightings in a nature journal.
